There are fourteen matras in Taal Dhamar. The first part is of five matras, the second is of two matras, the third is of three matras and the fourth is of four matras. The first, sixth and eleventh have claps and the eighth matra is empty. Dhamar is sung in this Taal. This is a classical Taal. This Taal is played on Pakhavaj in open bols
