Swarmalika
Swaramalika
is composed only in the notes of the raga and not in words. It has two parts Sathai
and Antra.
Its main objective is to give students knowledge of swara and raga.
Swarmaliika's is
called Sargam
or Suravarta. It can be defined as follows; That rhythmic composition in which
only the
raga the swaras used are called swaramalika. It is in the middle rhythm and may
be in
every raga. It is sung in Teentaal, Ektaal, Jhaptaal etc.
