Taal Overview: There are twelve matras in this taal. Six departments, each with two quantities, exist. Even the first beat has clap, followed by empty spaces ( 0 ) on the third and seventh beats, and clap on the fifth, ninth, and eleventh beats. This taal is sung together with Dhrupad.
