Swar(Vocal)
The voice whose movement number is regular and definite, that voice is called swara. This sound is useful in music. This sound is sweet, pleasant to the ears and pleases the mind. This music is called Naad Swar (useful sound).
Out of 22 Shrutis, the main 12 Shrutis are called Swaras. These swaras
are spread at small distances in the Saptak. In these, 7 Shudh (pure) swaras, 4
Komal (soft) swaras and one Teevar (sharp) swara are considered.
Komal Swaras = R G

Shuddh Swara - When all the seven swaras remain at their fixed place,
they are called Shuddha Swara.
Komal swar - When R G D N
pure swars go slightly below their fixed swar, they are called Komal swars.
Teevar Swaras -- When the Sudh M rises a little above its fixed place, it is called Teevar Swaras.
Chal Swar - The Sudh Swaras which are Komal and Teevar like R, G, M, D, N, these are Chal Swars.
Achal swaras - Swaras which are always Sudh and never Komal or Teevar like S and P, are called Achal swaras.These are also called natural Swaras.
