Features of Raag Bhairavi:-
(1) Scriptures state that R G D N soft
(Komal) swaras are utilized in this raga; nevertheless, in practice, 12 swaras
are used.
(2) Raag Bhairavi ends every music
gathering, even though the singing time is in the early morning.
(3) The beauty of this raga is what
makes it so famous.
(4) This raga is mostly used for
singing folk songs, rhymes, words (shabad), songs, ghazals, and thumri tappa.
(5) This raag is erratic in
character; songs (Tarana) and small thoughts (Khyal) are sung in place of great
thoughts (Khyal).
